Email Sync Behaviour
In CRM, when a user configures email integration using IMAP, emails are synced between the mailbox and CRM based on the email addresses in Leads/Contacts.
When an email is sent or received, it is associated with the corresponding CRM records (such as Leads or Contacts) and also remains in the user’s mailbox.
If an email is deleted from the mailbox, it will still continue to appear in the related CRM records because CRM maintains its own copy of the email once it is synced. The deletion in the mailbox does not remove the already-synced email from CRM.
Only in cases where the user deactivates the email integration and later reconfigures it again, previously deleted emails from the mailbox will not be re-synced back into CRM.
Similarly, if an email is deleted from CRM, it will not be removed from the mailbox, as CRM and mailbox operate independently once the sync is completed.
